(2) Claire Booth Luce – former member of the House and a former ambassador – recommends that the platform committee support the new civil rights law. She says that the Republican Critical Issues Council, among other issues, favors a reevaluation of the space program and stronger tax cuts “if the budget is kept close to balance.”
