Summary
This is a 7-part oral history of the life and 60+ year career of Joseph A. Flaherty, Sr. Vice President, Technology for CBS Inc. Flaherty describes his leadership and experience in many seminal developments in television technology since 1957, including ENG (Electronic News Gathering) and HDTV. Interviewer is Donald V. West, then-president of the Library of American Broadcasting Foundation board. The interview took place at Hornbake Library at the University of Maryland.
