Summary
Social studies series for intermediate/middle school study of Maryland's geography, history, and economy. Host John (J.G.) Hertzler drives a 1972 Plymouth Satellite station wagon through the state, stopping to visit various regions. His exploration of central Maryland takes him from a dairy farm in Carroll County to a steel plant in Baltimore County to the National Bureau of Standards in Montgomery County. He emphasizes the interdependence of the urban and agrarian parts of the state.
