Summary
A mixtape compiled by student Doug A. Sandler to fulfill an assignment in a course taught by Dr. Hugo Keesing at the University of Maryland. The cassette was compiled circa 1981 and includes commercial music from punk and new wave bands from the late 1970s and early 1980s. Sandler arranged portions of each song listed on the track listing for Dr. Keesing to hear, though the entire track is not included.

“God Save the Queen” – Sex Pistols
“I Can’t Explain” – The Who
“Clash City Rockers” – The Clash
“Career Opportunities” – The Clash
“Down in the Tube Station at Midnight” – The Jam
“That’s Entertainment” – The Jam
“A Promise” – Echo and the Bunnymen

The rest of this side features songs from the soundtrack to the 1978 movie, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonelyhearts Club Band," by non-punk and new wave groups like the Bee Gees, Peter Frampton, and Stargard. Presumably, Sandler was taping over this soundtrack for the Keesing assignment and did not intend for these songs to be considered part of the assignment.
