Summary
In Bird in the bush, students from University of Maryland, College Park study the mating rituals of the Bower bird of Australia. Gideon's trumpet features University of Maryland at Baltimore School of Law conference on Gideon v. Wainwright, the landmark court case which brought about the inception of the right to a public attorney. Going to bat one more time highlights the career of Baltimore Orioles outfielder Paul Blair and shows him in his new job as the head coach of the Coppin State College baseball team. The chess set focuses on University of Maryland, Baltimore County chess champions. Hitting a high note features Bowie State University's music department and how they use the new technology in their music. Virtue is its own reward focuses on University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute's international virtual research project on water pollution in the Chesapeake Bay.
