End of Gemini 5 mission, after 8 days in space: Live transmission by CBS reporters Dallas Townsend and Bernard Eisman from the USS Lake Champlain; Group W science reporter Jim Slade's wrap-up on the Gemini 5 mission is announced then cancelled in order to carry President Johnson's call (via radio-telephone) to astronauts Gordon Cooper and Peter Conrad; Slade's wrap-up; Reporters Moira McLaughlin and Eileen Soren attempt to interview the astronaut's wives.
