Summary
President Kennedy speaks to a joint session of the 88 governors of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, telling them that the status of the dollar in world finances is a concern the free world shares with the U.S. “No other country or currency has borne so many burdens, he says. “But we cannot and should not bear them all alone.” Last half of the tape is a portion of the testimony in the continuing investigation of the Billie Sole Estes case, specifically the testimony of Joseph M. Robertson (August 29, 1962).
