Summary
Don McLean interview and in-studio performance, plus University of Maryland finals week WMUC station announcements. McLean was scheduled to perform in College Park that night with Steppenwolf. He was promoting his album Tapestry, and performed an early version of "American Pie", as well as "On the Amazon", "Sister Fatima", "Crossroads", "Happy Trails to You". The McLean recording begins abruptly at 00:09:22. Spring 1971.
