This is a recording of Vice President Spiro T. Agnew's speech at the Farm Progress Show in western Illinois. Preceding the Vice President, Secretary of Agriculture Earl Butz and Governor of Illinois Richard Oglivie talk about the improvements made in agriculture and the grain trade recently established with the Soviet Union. During Vice President Agnew's speech, he talks about improvements to agriculture made under the Nixon Administration, rural development, and the industry's help in eliminating hunger across the nation and world.
