A documentary about Ella, a young Chinese American woman, her siblings, and her parents. Ella is debating whether to begin her career after college in Manhattan or in Hong Kong. Ella discusses how she feels "too American to be Chinese and too Chinese to be an American." Follows Ella as she visits Hong Kong. Filmed in cinema verité style. Originally broadcast on the television program Nightline on July 15, 1999.
