Wisdom through a wire illustrates the Tycho computer system at University of Maryland University College and its use in distance education. Microbe wars discusses research and development of vaccines at the University of Maryland at Baltimore's School of Medicine. Meeting the challenge discusses the Choices program in Baltimore that recruits recent college graduates to counsel and help troubled young people.
