Summary
Throughout its history, Hollywood has portrayed Arabs as buffoons or bandits. This documentary, as presented by Dr. Jack Shaheen, offers a variety of examples on this issue and seeks to rectify this stereotyping by comparing it to other forms of racist imagery. By suggesting alternative narratives that could be portrayed, the film offers possibilities to humanize, rather than demonize, Arabs and their historic and modern cultures.
