Sesame Street special
This season 19 primetime special features the cast and Muppets of Sesame Street joined by numerous special guests. Highlights from the show include: Gladys Knight and the Pips sing the opening theme; Phil Donahue performs an on-the-street interview with the cast and several Muppets; Martina Navratilova, Barbara Walters, and Ralph Nader are featured in a segment of "People in your Neighborhood"; the Muppets sing "Put Down the Ducky" joined by a variety of celebrities; Patti LaBelle sings about the letter X; and in a segment of Monsterpiece Theater hosted by the Cookie Monster, Grover stars in "The 39 Stairs".
