Paul Porter and Katherine Anne Porter telephone conversation, April 25, 1976. It begins with Porter's account of her recent visit to Saratoga Springs, NY. She spoke at and received an honorary degree at Skidmore College, went to the harness races, and visited Toni Willison and Willison's son at South Hill, her former home. They also discuss Truman Capote, invitations she has received from various institutions including Howard Payne University, Mexico and their trips there, and a possible trip to Guatemala. KAP recounts her experiences during two earthquakes, one in Mexico City in 1931, and another in Reno in 1942. She considers trips to Ireland and London, and recalls a 36-hour visit to London in 1954. Other topics include Hart Crane, Dylan Thomas, status and personal beauty.
