Summary
Social studies series for intermediate/middle school study of Maryland's geography, history, and economy. This episode, filmed at the Carroll County Farm Museum, features Ola Belle Reed, folksinger and storyteller; the jubilee singers Little Wonders; and Richard Otovic, who demonstrates the tradition of painting window screens. Baltimore arabbers, street peddlers who traditionally sell produce from horse-drawn carts, are shown. Program closes with a list of other sites to visit to learn about Maryland folkways.
