Summary
1970 marked MPT’s first foray into public policy programming with the aim of engaging Maryland voters and candidates in dialogue. "State Circle" (1982-present) provides weekly coverage of the General Assembly and state government, and its producers include guests with different viewpoints for engaging debates. This Emmy®-award winning series continues to the present day. This clip was featured in the 50th anniversary exhibit, "Made Possible By Viewers Like You: Maryland Public Television Turns 50" in the Hornbake Library Maryland Room Gallery in 2019.
