Comic narratives, circa 1960-1969
- Date
1960/1969
- Summary
-
Unidentified satirical program, circa 1960-1969. This program contains a variety of material, including radio narratives intended to be humorous, music, and parodies of popular characters including Barbie dolls, Superman, and Batman. The program contains mostly crude humor and was likely intended for adults. It is likely the second half of a 1960s-era play within a play about the nature of fictional characters, with dated innuendos about male/female relationships. The cast may include Phyllis Diller. After the play ends, there is about 30 minutes of popular songs that feature the sitar.
