Summary
Kennedy speaks to some 400 attendees invited to a special White House Conference of Business Magazine Editors and Publishers. With him in the State Department Auditorium are Secretary of the Treasury Douglas Dillon; Under Secretary of State George Ball; and Walter W. Heller, Chairman, Council of Economic Advisers. Kennedy discusses the current state of the economy and the improvements his administration has achieved. He states that the United States is moving forward to meet a number of economic goals and emphasized the importance of the free market system and maintaining a close relationship with business.
