This is a recording of Vice President Spiro T. Agnew's participation in the California Scholastic Press Association's press conference in Culver City, California. The Association in an organization of high school journalists and the press conference is completely run by students. During the press conference, Vice President Agnew answers questions on topics such as: an effective outlet for college students, draft evaders, President Richard Nixon's trip to China, the electoral college, changing the vote for 18 year olds, time magazine, bussing, financing education, a volunteer military, abortion, the legalization of marijuana, capital punishment, the 1972 election, minorities, the IT&T anti-trust suit, accomplishments of the Nixon administration, POWs, the Panama Canal, and unemployment rates.
