Daughters and poets, produced by the Feminist Radio Network, interviews poet Sonia Sanchez as shereads from her poetry, talks about the creative process, and describes how a particular poem came into being, a poem which mourns the death and celebrates the lives of two women who creatively mothered her and provided her with a rich heritage, undated. Broadcast features music by Bobby Humphrey and Nina Simone.
