Summary
Two recordings from an audio cassette. The first recording is an interview with Roddy Frantz and Robert Goldstein of the Washington, D.C. new wave band, Urban Verbs. The interview was conducted by disc jockey Josh Friedman on October 25, 1981, at WMUC, the University of Maryland's campus radio station. Urban Verbs discussed an upcoming show (Saturday, October 31, 1981 at Washington, D.C.'s 9:30 Club) and also talked about the group's new lineup, following the departure of bassist Linda France and keyboardist Robin Rose.

The second recording is from a press conference given by the new wave band Devo in the University of Maryland's Art-Sociology building (later renamed the Parren J. Mitchell Art-Sociology building) on November 2, 1981. Friedman recorded the press conference, as well. Devo was in town to perform at Ritchie Coliseum in College Park, Maryland in support of their 1981 album, "New Traditionalists."
