Organized by the Center for Theatre Education in Gdansk, Poland, the Baltic University of Dance was a short term festival-style gathering with a program of workshops and performances. Repertory concert documented includes audience interaction and community participation in which Dance Exchange associate artistic director Peter DiMuro addresses the audience through a translator. (DiMuro was director of the residency, Liz Leman was not present.) Concert includes "This Is Who We Are;" "Safe House: Still Looking" (with Baltic performers and stories or translation added); "Nocturnes;" and "Still Crossing" (with community members from Gdansk and Gdynia in the finale). site-specific performance takes place in a medieval castle or church, includes excerpts from "Nocturnes," "Shehechianu," and "Still Crossing," and performance by other festival participants.
