Sen. John F. Kennedy (D-MA) announces "an extensive tour of the State of Maryland as a candidate in the Maryland primary for President" at Washington College on the Eastern Shore. "Maryland, perhaps more than any other primary state, represents the will of the people who make up the Democratic party," he says. After his short speech, he answers question from the audience of college students and townspeople.
