Summary
Recording of two Paul Porter telephone conversations with Katherine Anne Porter, probably March 14 and 31, 1975. On the first, they discuss cooking, dieting, her "Notes on the Texas I Remember," Armand Thibault, finances, and drinking. She recounts several episodes from her childhood involving her brother Paul and cousin Leo and "Uncle Jimbilly." On the second, they discuss his forthcoming visit during Holy Week, errors of fact in "Notes on the Texas I Remember" and Ship of Fools, Armand Thibault, her housekeeper, and her lectures, past and future. She recounts a story about the German colony she observed in Mexico City in 1921.
