PowerPoint was the first and only live program to focus attention on issues and information of concern to African American listeners using the popular interactive, call-in format. The show, based in Atlanta, aired weekly on Sunday evenings, from 9-11 p.m. It was on the air for seven years in 50 markets on NPR and on Sirius satellite radio (now SiriusXM). Reggie F. Hicks served as Executive Producer. In the first hour, "Human Rights in America", host Kenneth Walker talks with Loretta J Ross, executive director of the National Center for Human Rights Education, Gerald LeMelle, deputy executive director of Amnesty International, Valeria Caldwell-Gaines, deputy director of the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, and Daryl Davis, author of "Klan-destine Relationships: A Black Man's Odyssey in the Ku Klux Klan". News report by Verna Avery-Brown. In the second hour, host Kenneth Walker interviews journalist Edward Ball, author of "Slaves in the Family", tracing descendants of enslaved individuals and families held by his ancestors.
